A strong box is not just about heavy weights or fast times. Training quality is shaped by technique, coaching, equipment care and how we treat each other. Our Box Rules create a safe, professional and motivating environment.

Technique before ego

At CrossFit Gorinchem we want progress you can sustain. Good mechanics come before more load or speed. CrossFit describes the same order as mechanics, consistency, intensity: move well first, repeat it consistently, then increase intensity.

A lighter barbell, adjusted reps or a movement variation is not a step backward. Good scaling preserves the intended stimulus and makes progress measurable.

Listen to the coach

A coach sees what you may not always feel: position, pace, fatigue and the intent of the workout. Coaching is therefore part of every class. A correction is not criticism; it is a tool to move smarter.

Arrive on time, follow the briefing and ask questions when something is unclear. Especially with new movements, that is the fastest route to confidence and quality.

Respect equipment and space

Barbells, plates, dumbbells, kettlebells, rigs and cardio equipment are used hard every day. Put equipment back, only drop weights when appropriate and allowed, and keep your training area organized.

A tidy box is not only nicer; it also makes classes safer and helps everyone train efficiently.

Training together means considering others

CrossFit has a strong community culture. It works when experienced athletes make room for beginners, when we encourage without unnecessary pressure, and when everyone can train at the right scale.

You do not need to be the fastest person in the room to have a great session. The goal is the right stimulus and leaving the box better than you entered.
